  1. This policy applies to all visitors to Green Light City (Pty) Ltd’s (“We” and “Us”) website and customers who have subscribed to the services we offer (“you” and “your”).

    • We may share your personal information with an affiliate, in which case we will seek to require the affiliates to honour this privacy policy. 
    • Our service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations (fraud prevention, bill collection, marketing, technology services). Our contracts dictate that these service providers only use your information in connection with the services they perform for us and not for their own benefit; 
    • Credit bureaus to report account information, as permitted by law; 
    • Banking partners as required by credit card association rules for inclusion on their list of terminated merchants (in the event that you utilise the Services to receive payments and you meet their criteria); 
    • Regulators. If you contact us regarding your experience with using any of our products, we may disclose your personal information as required by law or governmental audit. 
  8. No selling – We will not sell personal information. No personal information will be disclosed to anyone except as provided in this privacy policy.
  9. Marketing purposes – We may disclose aggregate statistics (information about the customer population in general terms) about personal information to advertisers or business partners.

Change of ownership – If we undergo a change in ownership, or a merger with, acquisition by, or sale of assets to, another entity, we may assign our rights to the personal information we process to a successor, purchaser, or separate entity. We will disclose the transfer on the website. If you are concerned about your personal information migrating to a new owner, you may request us to delete your personal information.

  16. In some cases, we are obliged to keep your personal information to comply with legal requirements and statutory retention periods. In such a case, we will ensure that your data will only be used to comply with those obligations and not for other purposes.
  17. Accuracy of Personal Information – Green Light City (Pty) Ltd will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal information that we have gathered is kept up-to-date and accurate for the purposes outlined at the time of collection.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or data storage system can be guaranteed as 100% secure. Any transmission is at your own risk. If there is a privacy breach relating to your personal information, we will conduct an assessment as to whether the privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you.  Should we determine that the privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will provide you with notice of the breach.  The notice will include sufficient information to allow you to understand the significance of the breach and the steps to take, where possible, to reduce the risk of harm to you.  We will also report any breach of security safeguards as required by law.

Managing Cookies – Green Light City (Pty) Ltd may use cookies and other technologies such as web beacons and graphic tags or other similar device identifiers to operate our websites, improve user experience and understand how our websites and other platforms are being used. For example, we may use cookies to determine which parts of the website have been visited.
